Apollo Recruitment achieve 98% efficiency in the 2015 Shut-Down Campaign
We at Apollo Recruitment are proud to announce that based on data received another successful shut-down campaign has been completed.
In total, 116 workers applied for positions this year and whilst none of these people failed substance testing, 4 declined the test, therefore, 112 applicants attended interview. In theory 4 applicants may have potentially failed; circa 3.5%. Unfortunately these people might have subsequently opted for an alternative recruitment organisation.
A bespoke safety awareness programme was developed by steel industry professionals for the 2015 shut-down campaign, which was lead by a unit trainer. The required pass rate is 85%, candidates scoring less than the required pass rate are referred to the trainer for further training or to discuss suitability for alternative assignments.
11,385 hours were worked over a 21 day campaign, whilst we can report the campaign with regard to Apollo workers was incident and injury free, we continually review and seek to improve our procedures.
Apollo’s operating procedures involve a service appraisal by area, underpinned by an individual appraisal of each worker (86 returned). Due to volume the following matrix summarises responses from all departments, whilst we have attached the area appraisals.
